The volunteer coordinator position is open to college students committed to Jumpstart’s mission to work toward the day every child in America enters school prepared to succeed and who are able to serve 8-12 hours per week during the school year.
The volunteers recruited by the volunteer coordinator should reflect a balance of college students, local community service organizations, and others who can participate in a range of volunteer service projects. Basic volunteer service project categories include one-day, short-term, and long-term service projects.
Responsibilities include:
- recruiting, assisting in trainings, and managing volunteers for various Jumpstart service projects
- providing support for Jumpstart’s annual Read for the Record event
