Jumpstart

Want to make a difference while making money?

The Class of 2033 is counting on you. The scientists, teachers, entrepreneurs, and leaders of tomorrow are getting their start today. But not all children begin the race of life on equal footing. We can change this.

Jumpstart is a national early education organization that recruits and trains college students, called Corps members, to work with preschool children in low-income neighborhoods. Through a proven curriculum, these children develop the language and literacy skills they need to be ready for school, setting them on a path to close the achievement gap before it is too late.

Jumpstart Corps members have the unique opportunity to inspire young children to learn, serve in a local community, work on a team, and build professional skills. Corps members dedicate 8-15 hours a week to the program and earn a work-study award if they qualify. All Corps members receive an additional $1,175 AmeriCorps education award at the end of their service.

Space is limited! Apply today to be a Corps Member or a Team Leader. For more information, visit www.jstart.org.

Applicants are highly encouraged to apply for our priority deadline: April 25th, 2014
