Every semester we offer exciting opportunities for students, alumni, faculty, and staff to participatein community service activities. You can volunteer for a one-time service project during one of our Friends and Neighbors Service Days. For a more long term commitment, apply to be a part of the Community Partners Committee. Members of this group assist with the planning and organization of our service days and actively work with our partner organizations to promote strong relationships between the university and the community.
If you are looking for something with a more involved commitment, you can apply to join our Jumpstart Corps, and begin serving as a literacy tutor to young children in local Head Start Programs. In addition, you can also stay informed through our SConnection newsletter.
Interested in service learning while traveling outside of Los Angeles? Apply to our Alternative Break program! There are domestic and international volunteer opportunities that focus on a wide spectrum of issues facing our generation.
Application for Appalachia and Salinas is due January 17th at 5pm (PST) to TCC 425.
Finally, you can search our database for still more volunteer opportunities found at many of our non-profit partners.
