Change your Stuaff Password
» Password Requirements:
1. Does not contain all or part of the user's account name .
2. Is at least eight characters in length.
3. Contains characters from three of the following four categories:
- English upper case characters (A..Z).
- English lower case characters (a..z).
- Base 10 digits (0..9).
- Non-alphanumeric (For example, !,$#).
» How to manually change your network password on STUAFF.
1. Login to the network.
2. Press the Control, Alt, and Delete keys all at the same time.
3. Click on the Change Password button.
4. Type in your current password in the “old password” field.
5. Type in a new password in the “new password” field.
6. Type in your new password again in the “confirm new password” field.
7. Click the OK button.
You should see a “Password Changed” confirmation message.
» Some things to keep in mind are:
1. Passwords must be a minimum of eight characters.
2. You cannot reuse any of your last 6 passwords as a new password.
3. Passwords are case sensitive and should include both letters and numbers.
4. Passwords should not be simple names or words from the dictionary.
5. Do not use spaces in passwords.
6. Do not give out your password to others or post passwords on your desk, monitor, etc.
7. Use a password that is easy for you to remember, like a phase or word followed by a number such as your home phone prefix, first 3 numbers of your home address, or other such combination of information important to you. Develop an easy to remember system for creating passwords like semester code followed by a short phrase or word followed by a number. Ex. In January: sprHeavyMetal714 then in September change to falHeavyMetal213, etc. Rotating passwords based on time period is often an easy system for users to create and remember.
