Los Angeles native and USC alumnus Whitney Port is an emerging author, model, and personality in the world of high fashion. She is known around the nation for her appearances on popular television shows such as MTV’s The Hills.

Port was born and raised in Los Angeles. She graduated from USC with a bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies before pursuing her career in fashion.

Port first came to national attention when she landed a guest-starring role in the MTV reality program The Hills. The show documented her attempts to break into the fashion industry through internships at W magazine and Women’s Wear Daily, paving the path to securing a revered position at Teen Vogue and a summer internship in Paris. Her tenure on the show came to an end when she relocated to New York in order to work for Diane von Furstenberg.

Capitalizing on her move to the Big Apple, MTV created a new reality show called The City, which followed Port’s work life and the origins of her clothing line for two seasons.

In 2009, Port debuted a clothing line of cocktail and party-wear called Whitney Eve. Debuting at New York Fashion Week, the line received rave reviews.

She also maintains a relatively public persona, having appeared in cameos in episodes of Entourage and Family Guy, as well as in the feature film What to Expect When You’re Expecting. She posed for a spread in Maxim magazine, worked as the host of a Hulu series called Genuine Ken, and she released an advice book titled True Whit: Designing a Life of Style, Beauty, and Fun. She has been featured on the covers of Cosmopolitan, Teen Vogue, Seventeen, and Rolling Stone (with her castmates from The Hills).

She is scheduled to act as a judge on Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model, alongside judges Elle Macpherson, Julien Macdonald, and Tyson Beckford.
