Performance Venues Sound System and/or Stage Request

This form will allow you to request the Performance Venues Sound System and/or Stage for your outdoor event.

  • Requests are processed from 9:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday.
  • Requests must be submitted 4 weeks in advance of your event. Late requests will not be accepted.

  • The Scheduling Office has seven 4ft x 8ft rolling stage pieces. The stage height is 16 inches.

  • The Performance Venue stage is for use on level surfaces only (cement or brick) and may not be set up on uneven or grassy surfaces.
PLEASE NOTE: Reservations are first-come, first-served. Not all requests for amplified sound will be accepted.

NOTE: The sound system and stage take a minimum of TWO (2) HOURS to set up BEFORE you can sound check. If you are renting just the stages, a minimum set up time of NINETY MINUTE (1.5 hours) is required, before you can set up on the stage.

NOTE: A minimum tear down time of NINETY MINUTES is required for all events. More tear down time will be scheduled for events farther away from the Stage and Sound System Storage Bin at center campus.

Please download your venue diagram from HERE (link to PDFs of venue diagrams)
  1. You must submit a diagram of both the location in the venue you would like the stage and sound system, and a diagram of the onstage configuration (ex. Placement of signer, guitar, drums and keys for a band).
  2. Diagrams can be submitted to the Scheduling Office via fax: 213-740-8157, email: scevents@usc.edu, campus mail: MC 4014 or hard mail: 3551 Trousdale Parkway ADM 299, Los Angeles CA 90089-4014.

Clients are required to meet the Performance Venues tech staff at the time of reservation. The sound system cannot exceed 90 decibels, A-weighted, 45 feet from the stage.
The University of Southern California reserves the right to cancel any event if the group does not comply with USC policies and procedures or if USC officials cannot ensure the safety of students, faculty, staff and visitors. Student Organizations in violation of the reservation policy will receive an initial notice. A second violation will result in a $25 fine. A third violation could result in a suspension of all scheduling privileges.
This form serves as a request for space only. Events are not confirmed until you receive email confirmation from the Scheduling Office. By submitting this form, you are agreeing that your organization will comply with all USC policies and procedures.
