The After School Sports Connection (ASSC) is a part of the overall USC Family of Five Schools (USC-FFS) community outreach effort.

Now in its ninth year, ASSC offers after-school sports instruction in basketball, soccer, volleyball, and swimming to 1,800 students in third through fifth grades (8-11 years of age) at the following FFS schools: Norwood Street Elementary, 32nd Street, L.B. Weemes Elementary, Foshay Learning Center and Vermont Avenue, plus the two Catholic schools, St. Agnes and St. Vincent.

ASSC instructors comprise USC undergraduates, graduates and student athletes and are funded by the Amateur Athletic Foundation and the USC Neighborhood Outreach Campaign.

• Fall 2005 season, ASSC operates October - November.
• Spring 2006 season, ASSC operates March - April.
• Summer 2006 season, ASSC operates May - June.

Applications for instructors can be picked up at the front counter of the Lyon University Center.
