The Lyon University Center
Welcome to the Lyon Center!
This facility features the Main Gym - 21,800 sq. ft. gym (basketball, badminton, volleyball), an auxiliary gym (basketball volleyball, wrestling), as well as conference rooms, sauna and Jacuzzi, equipment rental and sales, men’s and women’s locker rooms, Klug Family fitness (weight room) center, cardiovascular equipment, racquetball and squash courts, a climbing/bouldering wall, multi-purpose weight and stretching areas, group exercise studio, and outdoor seating for aquatic events.
Recent renovations include the Robinson Fitness Room (utilized primarily for SCycling, martial arts, and kickboxing classes) and the upcoming renovation of the auxiliary gym to an expanded fitness center for cardiovascular, stretching, and fitness equipment.
Tours available upon request. The Lyon Center is completely accessible.
Lyon Center Access
All students utilizing the Lyon Center are required to complete an on-line general waiver form (click here to complete the on-line form) prior to entering the Lyon Center.
All students should allow 24hrs for the waiver to become activated.
Failure to have waiver clearance will result in denied access to the Lyon Center. No exceptions.
Any USCard issues are the responsibility of the individual card holder and must be resolved prior to access to the Lyon Center.
This waiver will serve as a general waiver throughout the student’s entire tenure at the University.
Recreation Facilities
Proper identification is required for access to all recreational facilities (including fields and tennis courts).Close-toed shoes and appropriate workout attire are required when participating in recreational and fitness activities. Rules and policies for the Klug Family Fitness Center (weightroom), McDonalds Swim Stadium, and climbing/bouldering wall are posted.
Rec Sports and its staff reserves the right to refuse access or remove any individuals whose behavior is inappropriate or in violation of the University rules and regulations. Your cooperation is appreciated.
