REPORTS TO: Senior Departmental Administrative Assistant
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be currently enrolled as a USC student. College Work Study (CWSP) preferred. Previous office experience is helpful, but not required. Essential is the ability to interact with the public in a pleasant and helpful manner. Light typing and computer experience is preferred. Must be able to think and work independently while carrying out assigned duties. Punctuality and excellent attendance are required.
Seeking an individual to perform varies administrative duties for the recreational sports department. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent editing abilities and strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel; will type and edit documents produced by others; gather and organize supporting information; run errands; prioritize workloads. This is a part time position for the Spring and Summer months.
DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in day-to-day operations of the USC Recreation Office. Duties include answering phones, greeting guests and visitors, answering general questions, making referrals to other offices.
- A variety of other assignment include: intramural and club sign ups and memberships, operating copy machine, sorting and distributing mail, running errands on campus, filing, and other office duties as assigned.
- Additional responsibilities and projects as assigned by the Director and Administrative Staff of USC Recreational Sports.
Appearance: Attire should be clean, neat, professional, and appropriate for office work.

SALARY: $7.25 an hour starting salary; SUMMER HOURS: 20 hours per week; flexible hours depending on applicants schedule.
