PURPOSE: To create and promote a positive interaction between Recreational Sports and the campus community.

REPORTS TO: Aquatics Director

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be currently enrolled as a full time student at USC. Must have the leadership abilities needed to supervise a team of peers.

DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES:

• To guard the 3 pools on the USC Campus (McDonald Swim Stadium - 2 pools, P.E. Building - 1 pool) during open recreation hours and special events.
• To supervise and create the daily schedule for the lifeguarding staff on weekends.
• To provide a healthy, safe, clean environment for patrons.
• General pool duties include tidying equipment, stacking chairs, picking up trash, checking for hazards, and posting signage.
• MUST HAVE CURRENT CERTIFICATION - American Red Cross Lifesaving; CPR; First Aid

SALARY: $9.00 an hour starting salary; 8-month appointment with option to continue during the summer; 10-20 hours per week; mostly daytime and weekend hours.
