PURPOSE: To develop routines and programs with group exercise sessions for a variety of skill levels and styles.
REPORTS TO: Associate Director - Fitness
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a currently enrolled USC student; College Work Study Program (CWSP) preferred; Certification or proper aerobic instructor training; Basic understanding of exercise physiology and anatomy; Interpersonal skills required; Must be able to work independently.
DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES:
- Develop routines and programs with group exercise sessions for a variety of skill levels as well as a variety of popular (current) styles which could include cardioboxing, hip hop, water jogging, muscle conditioning (sculpting), pilates / mat pilates, and cycling (beginning, intermediate, advanced)
- Provide progressive and creative routines to meet the needs of the USC community
- Promote correct form, alignment, and aerobic dance positions
- Responsible for music that blends and has the correct beats and rhythm needed for each class
- Promote and enforce fitness center policies (shirts, shoes, bags, replacing weights, etc)
- Perform additional responsibilities and projects as assigned by the Director and Administrative Staff of USC Recreational Sports.
SALARY: $15 an hour starting salary; 2-4 hours per week;
DEADLINE: desired August start date
