Student Affairs Mission Statement:

Recreational Sports, a division of Student Affairs, welcomes all members of the university community (University Park Campus and Health Science Campus*) to participate in its extensive services and sports programs.
To meet the diverse needs and interests of the university community, a comprehensive and innovative sports package - including intramural sports, interest and sport clubs, fitness and leisure classes and recreational facilities - has been developed.

Recreational Sports Mission Statement
The mission of Recreational Sports is to provide quality recreational programs and services that enhance student, faculty, and staff knowledge and opportunities for participation in activities that promote healthy lifestyles, positive human relations, and leadership skills.

Department Goals

  • To provide quality, diverse and safe recreational programs and facilities (intramurals, club sports, aquatic, fitness, etc.) for the university community.
  • To enhance personal wellness: physical, social, psychological and intellectual.
  • To foster the development of leadership, interpersonal and communication skills that compliment and enhance the academic experience.
