Teaching MixxedFit grants a sense of freedom and playfulness to students that sometimes cannot be experienced on a treadmill. I believe that learning how to coordinate bodily movements to upbeat familiar music enhances our abilities to multitask and challenge under-used muscles required for balance and stability. Mainly, I teach for the sense of community this program seems to inevitably foster amongst its students. As individuals who seek fun and efficient modes of exercise, we need support from friends and family to achieve our fitness goals!

Why do you enjoy personal training:  Personal health and fitness is the foundation on which a happy and successful future is built upon. According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), physical activity controls your weight, reduces your risk of cardiovascular disease, reduces your risk for type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome, reduces your risk of some cancers, strengthens your bones and muscles, improves your mental health and mood, improves your ability to do daily activities and prevent falls as you age, and increases longevity. In short, what’s not to love about a healthy active lifestyle?!! My passion is too see every man and woman enjoying themselves as they achieve their fitness goals. As a physical therapist student, I have collected a vast knowledge on a variety of subjects, ranging from biomechanics, physiology, neuromuscular control, and more, to help anyone reach their personal fitness goals, and as an exercise physiologist enthusiast, I love to take those already active in the gym and help them overcome that dreaded plateau to become faster, stronger, and leaner. I love to share my passion of exercise and fitness.

Brook is a certified Pilates instructor and graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara. Brook earned her Comprehensive Certification in Pilates through Body Arts and Science International after discovering its powerful impact on her posture, core stability and body awareness. Originally from Brawley, California, Brook has always been an athlete and avid runner. While working at a private health club in college she was introduced to the work of Joseph Pilates and it has been her passion ever since. In 2013, Brook founded FrameWork Pilates and Conditioning in Downtown Los Angeles. Brook holds additional certifications in Pilates for Athletes, Fascia and Functional Movement, and Pre and Post Natal Pilates.
