Why Attend?
We encourage parents and family members to attend Orientation. The program is designed to help parents and family members become familiar with the campus and its resources, policies and procedures, and the adjustments new students face during the college experience. During Orientation, parents and family members have the opportunity to meet USC administrators, faculty, staff and current students, and to have their questions and concerns addressed in person. For most of the program, parents and family members attend different sessions from students, because the sessions are designed to meet each group’s particular interests.

Reservations
Students must complete their own reservations for orientation sessions. Sessions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Many orientation sessions fill prior to the stated refund deadline. We recommend students register for their orientation session as soon as possible. When making an online reservation, you will be prompted to choose a session. Sessions that are no longer listed are no longer available. In order to provide a personalized experience for all students, we are not able to accept reservations after the session has filled.
Students who register online receive immediate confirmation of their reservation requests. They should review their confirmation letter for accuracy. Students who register in person, by phone, or through the mail can print out their online confirmation letter within three weeks of the request. If you are unable to use the online reservation system, please contact Orientation Programs at 213.740.7767.
Note: Do not make nonrefundable travel arrangements before receiving a session confirmation. Preexisting travel arrangements are not considered grounds for exceptions to the reservation policies.

If there is a cancellation, you will be contacted no less than two weeks prior to the session. Please note: We do not accept phone calls for placement on the waiting list.

Class Registration
During the undergraduate and international student orientation sessions, all students receive academic advisement (usually done in groups) and register for first semester classes. Academic Advisors and Orientation Advisors assist students through the class registration process. This part of the session allows students to make decisions about their college careers and learn the processes they will follow throughout their USC experience. Parents and family members attend other sessions during this time.
Following registration, students will be able to access their student fee bill. Fee bills are generated based on the student's registration. To view information regarding student fee payments, including billing statements, dates, and deadlines, click here.
