What to Bring

Undergraduate Students

  • Orientation session confirmation letter (print this letter and bring it as proof of your reservation)
  • Pre-Orientation Homework summary worksheet (complete after you finish your Orientation reservation)
  • Financial documents as appropriate (including Financial Aid correspondence)
  • Casual attire, jacket and comfortable shoes
  • Driver's license or similar photo I.D.
  • A pen
  • Prior college course work documentation (if applicable)
  • Backpack or book bag
  • Measles immunization verification (deliver to the Student Health Center)
  • Overnight bag (summer sessions)
  • Alarm clock (summer sessions)
  • Portable fan (summer sessions)

Graduate Students

  • Orientation session confirmation letter (print this letter and bring it as proof of your reservation)
  • Casual attire and comfortable shoes
  • Driver's license or similar photo I.D.
  • Backpack or book bag

International students should also bring the following items to Orientation:

  • Passport (you must complete Passport Verification to receive your USCard and register for classes)
  • Form SEVIS I-20 (for F-1 students) or Form SEVIS DS-2019 (for J-1 students)
  • I-94 card
  • Local address and phone number
  • Address and phone number of an emergency contact in the U.S.
  • Address and phone number of an emergency contact in your home country
  • All previous immigration documents if you are a transfer student from another U.S. educational institution
  • Immigration documents of any dependents with you in the U.S.
