Job Search Strategies for International Students

 The Job Search Strategies for International Students workshops are presented by counselors from OIS and the Career Planning and Placement Center (CPPC).  The presenters address techniques in looking for jobs in the U.S. as well as the immigration aspect of job searching for F-1 international students. 

The following topics will be discussed:

  • The job search process in the U.S.
  • Cultural differences associated with the U.S. job search process
  • On-campus resources for various phases of the job search
  • Work authorization options for F-1 international students, including Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and an introduction to Optional Practical Training (OPT)

Workshops are offered 3-4 times a semester and all workshops take place in the Trojan Presentation Room, STU B3.
