Passport Verification (PPV)
All new students are required to complete Passport Verification (PPV) with the Office of International Services (OIS) within 15 days of arrival to the U.S. PPV is a procedure that verifies a student’s immigration status to ensure that the student is eligible to start an academic program at USC for the upcoming academic semester.

PPV sessions are available every week starting in mid July and will go throughout the week of International Student Orientation (ISO) which is scheduled during the week of August 18 - 22. To learn more about the ISO please go to www.usc.edu/orientation.

To complete PPV, the student must attend a PPV session and submit the following documents so that they can be reviewed and placed on file at OIS.

You are required to bring photocopies of these documents to the PPV session. If you do not bring a photocopy, you will not be able to complete PPV on the scheduled date and must re-schedule for another date and time.

There are a few copy centers located on and around the USC campus. A list of the most popular ones is below:
Once you complete PPV, you will be given an application for a USCard which you can take to the USCard office to receive your picture ID. In addition, OIS will remove a hold on your student account that either restricts class registration or USCard issuance.

**Students are not eligible to receive their USCard until after they complete Passport Verification**
