All of us in OIS hope you benefitted from your time here in Los Angeles and at USC. There are no formal check-out procedures unless you are ending your J-1 visit more than 30 days prior to the program end date listed on your DS-2019. If you are leaving more than 30 days early you are required to send an e-mail to j1exchg@usc.edu once you have returned to your home country. At that time we will shorten your DS-2019 to reflect your early departure.
