Special Registration through the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System (NSEERS) is a requirement for citizens of certain countries as identified by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Students who have undergone NSEERS registration upon their entry to the U.S. should have a Fingerprint Identification Number (FIN) noted on their I-94 card.
Individuals subject to NSEERS are required to use only designated ports of departure when leaving the U.S., and they must check in with an immigration officer at the airport on the day of departure. Students who are registered in NSEERS are required to follow exit procedures and to depart only from designated ports of departure.
Students who do not comply with NSEERS requirements for departure may have difficulty when re-entering the U.S. in the future. Students should make sure to allow enough time at the airport to complete this procedure so their flight plans will not be affected.
Please refer to the ICE website for a full description and requirements of NSEERS.
Special Registrants departing the U.S. from the Los Angeles International Airport must report to the departure level at the Tom Bradley International Terminal, behind the information booth. The address is 380 World Way, Departure Level, Los Angeles, CA 90045, (310) 568-7500, hours of operation: 7:00 am to 12:00 Midnight.
