Some students and scholars may require temporary accommodation once they arrive in Los Angeles. There are several options for short-term accommodations on or near the University Park Campus and their contact information is provided below. Please contact the offices directly to inquire about accommodation details and to make reservations.
USC Guest Housing
Cardinal Gardens Apartments: One or two bedroom air-conditioned apartment for long term stays. Although the facilities have kitchens, kitchenware and supplies are not provided. Rates are $40 to $55 per person per night (plus 14% city bed tax) and offers single and double occupancy per room. New Residential College: Non-air-conditioned, communal bath residence hall rooms provide an economical option for short term accommodations during the summer. Rates are $35 to $45 per person per night (plus 14% city bed tax) and offers single and double occupancy per room. For reservations or more information, please contact the New Residential College Customer Service Center at (213) 740-1492 or by email at mailEVK@usc.edu.
All fees must be paid in advance for the entire stay. Payment must be made on-site by cash, credit card (Mastercard, Visa or Discover ONLY), Traveler’s Check or USC departmental internal requisition prior to check-in. There is a maximum stay of 29 nights only. Spaces are limited and subject to availability.
These guest housing options at USC are only available from May 26, 2009 to August 8, 2009. Students and scholars who require temporary accommodation beyond these dates should review additional options below.
Hotels and Motels near Main Campus
Below is a partial list of hotels and motels available in the general area of the USC University Park Campus, particularly for the downtown area (2 miles north of campus). The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and DASH buses are available between downtown Los Angeles and USC campus.

TENTEN Wilshire Blvd. offers temporary accommodation options for new USC students and scholars. TENTEN Wilshire Blvd. provides furnished and unfurnished accommodation options. More details on amenities included in these accommodations are available through the company website.
Free shuttle service is available for individuals who do not have transportation. A car and driver are provided to take USC guests back and forth to USC or anywhere else they would like to go within a 2 square mile radius of the property.
