The Letter of Standing confirms an international student's full time attendance at USC and the details of their degree program. For J-1 scholars, the letter confirms their standing at USC and details of their visit.
This letter can be used as an optional supporting document for travel and re-entry to the U.S., as well as for any purpose that requires confirmation of international student/scholar status at USC.
There is a 4 business day processing time for a Letter of Standing.
Note: Students and scholars who are in the processing of extending their I-20/DS-2019 must receive their extended I-20/DS-2019 before submitting the request for Letter of Standing.
