ELIZABETH ROLLICE     Top


Liz Rollice is a Human Resources Consultant at Southern California Edison.  She previously worked at Northrop Grumman Corporation for 20 years in human resources in the areas of employment, employee relations, and benefits administration.


In August 2007, Liz joined the USC Alumni Association’s Board of Governors.  In May 2006, Liz was elected Chair of the Board of Directors, USC Mexican American Alumni Association.  She has served on the MAAA board since its inception in 1998 and held the position of secretary from 1998-2003.  Liz’s involvement in the MAAA began in 1985 with the scholarship committee. She later joined the scholarship dinner committee and served as dinner chair in 1999, and co-chair in 2004 and 2006.  For the past 6 years, Liz has also chaired the scholarship dinner’s auction.  To date, the auction alone has raised more than $200,000 in scholarship funds.


From January 2006 through May 2006, Liz served as the Interim Executive Director, USC Mexican American Programs.


Currently, Liz is secretary of the California Hispanic Corporate Council, chair of its Speakers Series, and is a founding member and past president of CHCC.  In 2007, Liz joined the Advisory Board of Quinceanera Connection, an organization committed to the advancement of Latina students.


Liz is an outgoing board member of White Memorial Medical Center Charitable Foundation; previously served as a board secretary of the State of California, Department of Developmental Disabilities, South Central Los Angeles Regional Center; and is a former member of the Junior Achievement Latino Advisory Board.


In 1983, Liz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.  In October 2007, Liz was awarded the President’s Award from the USC Alumni Association, and in 1999, received the USC Widney Alumni Award in recognition of her service and dedication to the university.

 


Geri Holman     Top


Geri Holman has worked as a business-to-business software sales professional for over 17 years, earning numerous sales awards and honors.  She is currently a Business Development Manager for Ceridian Corporation, a global leader in managed business outsourcing solutions. 

Geri graduated from the University of Southern California, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration.  Geri is Vice Chair of USC’s MAAA Board of Directors.  She has been a member of the board for eleven years and is also Chairperson for their Communications Committee.  Prior to the Board’s formation, Geri sat on the group’s Scholarship Committee for 8 years. The USC MAAA grants over $750,000 in scholarships to USC students each year.  Geri recently won the 2006 USC Alumni Association President’s Award for excellence in volunteerism and leadership.

Geri is the founder of FutureBoost!, which provides one-on-one coaching and motivational workshops for teens and emerging adults, in the areas of high school, college, and career growth.  She has helped many students realize and achieve their personal goals and is a frequent motivational speaker at local high schools.  Geri resides in Pasadena, California with her husband David and daughter Estee.

 


KEN GAITAN     Top


Ken Gaitan has served on the USC MAAA Board of Directors since 2003.  His current responsibilities include Executive Secretary to the Board, Scholarship Golf Classic Chair and MAAA representative to the USC Alumni Association-Orange County Leadership Council.


A 20 year veteran of commercial real estate finance, Ken is the Executive Vice President of Johnson Capital Express (JCE). JCE is the small balance lending division of Johnson Capital, specializing in funding commercial and multifamily loans under $5 million nationwide.  Ken is responsible for all day to day operations including loan origination, underwriting and strategic planning. Ken has served in senior loan origination and leadership positions with Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan and CB Richard Ellis/Melody.  Ken is an MAAA scholarship recipient and a USC Marshall School of Business graduate.

 


MANNY ANGUIANO     Top


Manny Anguiano has served on the USC MAAA Board since its inception in 1999. He has served as Co-Chairperson for the Scholarship Committee since 1990.


Manny is a Principal of Sunset Telecom Systems, which provides voice, data, video infrastructure cabling and connectivity.  IP PBX phone system design, sales, installation and service, as well as, CCTV design, sales, installation and service.  Sunset Telecom Systems services the Los Angeles and Orange County areas. 


He graduated from USC in 1988 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance & Management.


He resides in Whittier with his wife Lucie and their two children Marina & Adam.

Karime Sanchez Bradvica     Top


Karime Sanchez Bradvica currently serves on the Board of Directors of the USC MAAA and and Chair of the MAAA Endowment Fund Campaign. Karime has been an active supporter of the MAAA for over 20 years. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from USC in 1980 and in 2001 was awarded the USC Widney Alumni Award. Karime was a recipient of the MAAA Scholarship.


Karime is the Vice President of External Affairs at SBC California and is responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of contacts with key elected local, state and federal officials, civic, community and business leaders in 25 cities and 20 communities. She serves on the board of New Economics for Women, Champions of HOPE, Latin Business Association Corporate Advisory Board and the CHP Hispanic Advisory Council. Karime has been recognized for her leadership by organizations such as CHARO, Comision Femenil de L.A., Minorities in Business Magazine, Latin Business Association, among others. MALDEF honored her with the Corporate Social Responsibility Award in 2003 and MAOF named her 2004 Women of the Year.

Alice Cardenas is the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Executive at the Screen Actors Guild - Producers Pension and Health Plans.  She is responsible for the Accounting/Finance functions including Accounts Receivable/Imaging and Contribution Compliance.  Alice also oversees the Human Resources and Administrative Services Departments and is the key executive responsible for the Screen Actors Guild ~ Producer’s Industry Advancement and Cooperative Fund


Ms. Cardenas has over 15 years of management experience in finance, accounting and
administration. Prior to joining SAG~PPHP, she held management positions at Nestle and the Newhall Land and Farming Company. As a board member of the USC MAAA she currently co-chairs the Endowment Committee and was a member of the Scholarship Committee, and Dinner committee.  She is a Board Member for several professional affiliations including the New Economics for Women Association, and the National Charity League of Burbank.  Alice is also a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.


Alice earned a bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California with an emphasis in Finance and Business Economics.

Veronica Cuenca currently is on the Board of Directors of the USC Mexican American Alumni Association. Veronica has been a member of the Board of Directors for the past three years. Veronica, has been Co-Chairing the Scholarship Committee for the USC Mexican American Alumni Association for the past five years, prior to that she was a member of the Scholarship Committee for the past ten years. Veronica is a former MAAA recipient.


Veronica is currently the Nursing Recruitment Manager for USC University Hospital. She is responsible for all Nurse Recruitment at the Hospital. Domenika Lynch     Top


Domenika Lynch is the Executive Director of the USC Mexican American Alumni Programs at the University of Southern California.  In this role, she manages the overall administration of the MAAA scholarship program and USC Latino alumni relations.


Formerly, Ms. Lynch was Vice President, Market Development Manager (MDM) for Bank of America; where she managed foundation and sponsorship requests, lead relationship building activities and community involvement initiatives for Los Angeles County.


As the Executive Director of Independent Colleges of Southern California (ICSC) Community Service Intern Corps, Ms. Lynch managed the overall development and operations of ICSC’s Community Service Intern Corps Program. She served as an executive liaison between ICSC and the seventeen member colleges and universities. 


During Ms. Lynch’s tenure at Univision Communications Inc., first as editor and writer for Univision Online’s education channel and then as Account Executive for KMEX, she developed an expertise for the Hispanic market and Hispanic media consumption habits. 


Ms. Lynch is a graduate from the University of Southern California, where she majored in public administration. She was MAAA’s first Assistant Director and a former USC MAAA scholarship recipient.  She lives in Long Beach with her fourteen year old son.

 


John Menchaca     Top


John Menchaca currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. John has held various leadership positions within the MAAA for over 20 years. John has been the past Chair of the Annual Scholarship Dinner (1998), Dr. Hubbard Award Chair (2002 - 2003), Scholarship Committee Chair (1985 - 1987) and has served as the MAAA’s representative to the USC Alumni Association Board of Governors (2001 - 2003). John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis is Accounting from USC in 1983 and Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 1993. John was a recipient of the MAAA scholarship.


John has been practicing as a Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”) for over 20 years and is currently a Principal with the firm of Menchaca & Company LLP where he is in charge of the Firm’s Tax Practice and Insolvency Practice. John also serves as a Bankruptcy Trustee for the Central District of California, under the U.S. Department of Justice. John is also on the USC/Kenneth Leventhal School of Accounting Board of Advisors, Board of Directors of the Variety Boys and Girls Club in East Los Angeles, and is a past President of the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting – Los Angeles Chapter.


John resides in the City of San Gabriel with his wife Denise, USC Class of ’84, and children Vanessa, Michelle, Roxanne and Michael.

 


Yesenia Vallejo Monsour     Top


Yesenia Vallejo Monsour has been a member of the USC MAAA Board of Directors since 2003.  Yesenia moved to San Antonio, Texas in 2006 and joined the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as the Senior Vice President of External Affairs.  Yesenia is responsible for the Chamber’s advocacy efforts on the local, state and federal levels and also oversees the Business Development Department.


Born and raised in Los Angeles, Yesenia attended the University of Southern California where she earned B.S. and Master’s degrees in Public Administration and a B.A. in Psychology.


Highlights from her career include serving as the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, Executive Director of the Buenanueva Foundation, Community Manager for the American Diabetes Association, Special Assistant to the Mexican Consul for Economic Affairs in Los Angeles, and Training Coordinator for Arthur Andersen LLP.  In addition, she serves as a consultant and project manager through her own company, Global IPC.


Yesenia, a first generation Mexican-American, graduated from the Hispanic Leadership Institute under HOPE (Hispanas Organized for Political Equality) and is a Board member of World Affairs Council of San Antonio, Texas.  She has been honored with many awards including Hispanic Magazine’s Achievement Award, the Hispanic Women's Council Woman of Promise Award; General Motors Volunteer Award and the Free Trade Alliance SA Institutional Member of the Year.


Yesenia resides in San Antonio with her husband Louis and three boys, Joseph, Andrew and Nicholas.

GEORGE RAMIREZ     Top


George A. Ramirez is Senior Vice President & Market President for Union Bank of California’s, Retail Banking Group.  In his current assignment, Ramirez manages a division of over one hundred twenty branch banking centers in Orange, Los Angeles, and Ventura Counties, with approximately fourteen hundred employees. He is responsible for all aspects of retail branch business for the mass, high net-worth, and small business markets, and accountable for profitability, business development, sales, operations, risk management, employee development, corporate community development, and public relations.


Prior to his current assignment, Ramirez held the position of Executive Sales Manager, in which he developed and managed the bank’s newly created Sales Management and Development Group, which refocused the company’s 3,500 branch sales employees, to a more highly proactive and “consultative” sales force.


With over twenty five years in the banking industry, Ramirez has built a solid reputation as an innovative and highly experienced retail banker.  He joined Union Bank of California in 1986 as a Financial Services Officer.  During the course of twenty years with Union Bank of California, Ramirez has served in various line management, and staff roles, which include Business Relationship Officer, Branch Manager, and Regional Manager for the bank’s North/Central Community Banking Group. In that position, Ramirez had management oversight for the branch banking offices in Fresno County, and the business banking centers for thirty branch locations, serving thirteen counties in Central California.


Ramirez was also responsible for developing and managing the bank’s Diverse Markets Administration in July 1997. In that assignment he created and directed the bank’s first multicultural markets group, focusing on multicultural advertising, marketing, and business development for the Hispanic, African-American, Women, and Asian markets in California, Oregon, and Washington.


Ramirez has served on numerous boards for civic and charitable organizations, and is regularly asked to speak at banking, leadership, and diversity conferences. Currently, he serves and holds board positions for the USC Mexican-American Alumni Association, Orangewood Children’s Foundation, Tomás Rivera Public Policy Institute, Small Business Certified Development Corporation, and Pat Brown Institute for Public Policy.  Ramirez also serves as Senior Vice Chairman for the White Memorial Medical Center $30MM Capital Campaign.


Ramirez attended Grossmont College and San Diego State University.  He is a graduate of LEAD San Diego, as well as Pacific Coast Executive Banking School, at the University of Washington, and the Executive Development Program in Strategy & Organization at Stanford University.


He has been married to his wife Julie for twenty-six years, and they have residences in San Diego and Los Angeles, as well as Rosarito Beach, Mexico, with their children, Lauren 23, and Spencer 16.

Raul Rodriguez has served on the USC Mexican American Alumni Association's Board of Directors since its inception in 1999. Raul graduated from USC in 1994 with a B.S. in Business Administration. Raul is a former USC MAAA Scholarship recipient.


Raul is currently a sales manager for KWHY Channel 22, Telemundo Los Angeles, an NBC owned & operated television station. Prior to joining Telemundo in 2001, Raul spent 7 years as an Account Executive at Univision.

Susan Sifuentes-Trigueros is a highly skilled Public Relations professional with over fifteen years experience in corporate governmental, community, and media relations. Her specific expertise is in ethnic and utility public relations. She joined the Southern California Gas Company in 1982. Prior to her current position in Public Relations, Susan held several positions in the company’s Accounting and Human Resources departments. In her capacity as Regional Public Affairs Manager for Southern California Gas Company, she is responsible for the Public Affairs strategic direction in the greater Los Angeles area.


Susan attended the University of Southern California where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. Susan also serves in a number of leadership capacities. She currently serves as Immediate Past President of HOPE (Hispanas Organized for Political Equality), and is a Board Member of the San Fernando Valley Economic Alliance, Advisory Board Member of the Valley Economic Development Center and Immediate Past Chair of the League of California Cities Partners Steering Committee.


Susan has received numerous legislative certificates of recognition for her community and advocacy work. In 2002, Susan was honored by Women’s Enews as one of the “21 Leaders for the 21st Century” for her work in civic participation. Susan resides in Walnut with her husband Mario, and their three children, Vanessa, Brittany, and Elena.

 


Francisco Uribe     Top


Francisco Uribe currently serves on the Board of Directors of the USC Mexican American Alumni Association and is a member of the MAAA Scholarship Dinner Committee. Mr. Uribe also serves on the boards of directors of the Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley, the Valley Economic Development Center, Inc. (VEDC), the Valley Industry & Commerce Association (VICA), the California Hispanic Corporate Council, the Los Angeles Regional Technology Alliance (LARTA) and as Vice Chair of the Northeast San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce. Frank is a former MAAA Scholarship recipient.


Mr. Uribe is Director of External Affairs for Verizon, a Fortune 10 company, where he serves as executive representative and focal point of contact within the Greater Los Angeles area, including the communities of the San Fernando Valley, West L.A., and the Cities of Santa Monica and Malibu. Prior to joining Verizon, Mr. Uribe served as Special Projects Coordinator to Congressman Xavier Becerra (D-CA) and he also worked in Washington, D.C. as a staff assistant to the Attorney General of the United States and at the White House Office of Public Liaison.


Mr. Uribe holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Ethnic Studies from the University of Southern California and earned an Associate of Arts degree in Journalism/Public Relations from El Camino College. He is a graduate of the 1997-1998 CORO/Leadership Southern California program and has completed certificates in corporate social responsibility from Boston College and in International Business from the University of South Carolina. In 2003 he was recognized as a "40 under 40" by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal for outstanding professional accomplishments while under the age of 40. He is currently earning an MBA from the Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University.

 


Ronnie Zepeda     Top


Ronnie Zepeda has served on the Board since 1999 and is currently leading the Alumni Relations project for the USC MAAA. Ronnie has been past Annual Scholarship Dinner Chair (1997), Dr. Hubbard Award Chair (1987 -1988), Scholarship Dinner Committee Member (1980-2003) and Silent Auction Co-Chair (2000-2003). Ronnie was one of the founders of the California Hispanic Corporate Council and is a Board Member of the East Los Angeles YMCA. Ronnie is also a Provost Level University Associate and a University Ambassador.


Ronnie has worked for the Raytheon Corporation (previously Hughes Aircraft Company) for the past Twenty-six years in Finance as a Division Controller, Contracts and Business Manager, Operations Manager and currently a Manager in Financial Planning. In 1977, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
