USC is fortunate to have an active graduate and professional student population. The Graduate and Professional Student Senate (GPSS) is the student government for graduate/professional students. In 2002, GPSS created a standing LGBT Concerns Committee to advocate and program for LGBT students and supportive Allies.
This committee meets twice a month with representatives from the different LGBT graduate and professional campus organizations. They discuss co-sponsorships for events and coordinate advocacy efforts. Previous events included: SpeedDating, monthly social mixers in West Hollywood, free HIV testing, educational discussions and more.
Fall 2011 meetings are: 9/20, 10/7, 10/18, 11/4, 11/15 at TCC 224 Conference Room
If you were involved in undergrad and you want to continue their involvement, then get involved with this committee. For more information about this committee, please e-mail The LGBTA Committee Chair Ed Ng at gpsslgbta@usc.edu.
USC has vibrant graduate/professional LGBT student community with several discipline specific organizations. Please join them on facebook.
