After the session, participants will register with the LGBTRC to become an official Ally and participants will be invited to monthly Ally Discussions.

If you have already attended this introduction session and received your Ally sticker, then please do not attend this introduction session again.  However, if there are colleagues from departments or schools who are not registered Allies with the LGBTRC, then please encourage them to attend.

In this story of acceptance and ultimate redemption, Marsha Aizumi chronicles Aiden's journey to live as the man he was meant to be.  Aizumi is an educator and advocate for the LGBT community, a cause she embraced due, in large part, to the harassment and bullying her son experienced throughout high school.  Aizumi will share her story and help Allies identify the emotional anxieties and challenges some of our transgender students may encounter from their families.
