USC is the top university with the largest number of international students in fact one can often hear the statistic that 1 out of every 9 students at USC is an international student. With a large number of international students, the LGBT Resource Center has made certain that these students know that our resources are for them.
Many students from different countries may experience unique challenges when coming out to others with their sexuality and gender identity/expression and as a result the coming out process can be even more difficult. The center acknowledges and recognizes the hardships for these students and we strive to promote inclusiveness to the USC LGBT Community through events, educational discussions and training sessions. We respect the diverse identities of every fellow Trojan.
For international students that are coming to terms with their sexuality and gender identity/expression, the following resources are recommended:
LGBT Peer Mentoring Program - a confidential mentoring program for students coming to terms with their sexuality and gender identity/expression that has increases in international student particpation within the last two years
uRap - a weekly confidential discussion group open to all students
