12/3/2012, 6:00 - 7:00 PM
Tutor Campus Center (TCC) 352
The Queer and Ally Student Assembly (QuASA) Lecture Series is a new program that highlights LGBT and Ally Faculty/Staff members at the University every month, and encourages interaction between LGBT and Ally faculty/staff members and students. It is also an opportunity for students to learn, in an intimate setting, about a faculty/staff member’s challenges and rewards in their professional and personal life experiences. In conjunction with the LGBT Resource Center, the QuASA Lecture Series will encourage students to celebrate their future goals and aspirations regardless of their sexual and/or gender identities.
Chris Freeman is an Associate professor of English and Gender Studies at USC and works primarily in 20th century gay and lesbian studies and 20th century Literature. He is also a board member at the ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives, and is extremely knowledgeable about the role of queer culture, art and activism in Los Angeles.
