Bible Boot Camp: What the Bible Says and Doesn’t Say About Homosexuality

10/25/2012, 7:00 - 8:00 PM VKC 205

“A man shall not lay with a man!” — “God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!” — “Sodom and Gomorrah!” — We’ve all heard one or all of these statements before, but what does the Bible actually say about homosexuality… and what doesn’t it say? How do we respond to these myths? This talk examines sexuality and same-sex identities within the context of biblical passages and religion. Interactively this talk explores and breaks down the myths, rumors, and hidden meanings behind scriptures and passages often linked to homosexuality, and introduces alternative ways of thinking about sex, sin, and the Bible.
