BLACK SOCIAL WORK CAUCUS (BSWC)
The Black Social Work Caucus of the University of Southern California is committed to building solidarity among its members, USC School of Social Work, faculty, administration, staff, student body, the University Community, and the black community at large by encouraging the tolerance of diversity, creativity, self-determination, ethical practices, and minority leadership. It was founded in 1969 on the basis of integrating a multicultural perspective into the curriculum, dialogue, and student body of the USC School of Social Work. We are dedicated to academic achievement, professionalism, and social justice for all people of African descent and human kind. Through presentations, special events, and community outreach, we seek to provide activities that focus on leadership development, community involvement, and the promotion of academic excellence.
