Urban Literary Society was founded at the University of Southern California in 2002 by elite members of Delta Sigma Thelta, Sorority Incorporated, Upsilon Chapter. Today, it is a well-accomplished book club in its own right, encouraging students of the USC community to indulge in the works of up and coming urban writers. The goal of ULS is not only to educate through the written word, but to facilitate the fellowship of a wide diversity of students through the written word as well. Past Works Read have included: A Lesson Before Dying Memoirs of a Geisha Black White and Jewish Ma Rainey's Black Bottom Hung- In which we had the pleasure of having up and coming urban writer, Scott Poulson- Bryant, join us and discuss his work!
