The purpose of the African American Cultural Celebration Committee is to promote unity by organizing a culturally based commencement ceremony. In addition, our organization aims to sponsor various events throughout the school year that create an atmosphere of camaraderie among the graduating students. The committee’s goal is to create a ceremony that celebrates and acknowledges our cultural heritage and serves to reward academic achievement. This largely attended and highly anticipated event unites students, families, staff, faculty and friends by promoting culture and achievement. This year's ceremony will be on Thursday, May 10, 2012, (the day before USC’s Commencement). It honors undergraduate, graduate and professional school students who have completed their degree in 2012. All class levels are welcomed and needed on the committee to plan this wonderful event. If you are interested in being a part of the committee, please contact us.
