All in Your Feelings

STU 415
12:00pm -1:00pm

Join Student Counseling Services for the launch of "All in Your Feelings" a new group led by Dr. Bruce Wallace II on Mondays from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm. Within the African-American community being “all in your feelings” refers to being “overly” emotional about a particular incident, experience, or issue. The All in Your Feelings group is a weekly, drop-in group for all students of African descent to meet and explore issues affecting people of African descent on campus, nationally, and globally with a specific focus on exploring and discussing the psychological and emotional impacts of these issues on African people worldwide. Particular areas of exploration will be the biases and stigma within the African Diasporic community regarding seeking mental health services and the general stigma around exploring and speaking about painful/uncomfortable emotional experiences.
