AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURAL CELEBRATION 2013
Bridging our past with our present, the African American Cultural Celebration (AACC) serves as a traditional rite of passage that recognizes and affirms students of African descent who have completed a rigorous journey through academia at the University of Southern California. This largely attended and highly anticipated event unites students, families, and friends through culture and achievement. An outstanding speaker is chosen each year who insights words of wisdom, encouragement and adoration to the audience allowing all participants to evaluate their life experiences while empowering them to reach all future endeavors.
This year’s ceremony will be held on May 16, 2013 the Thursday evening before the University’s Commencement, honoring all undergraduate, graduate and professional school students.
This event is for any USC student that is graduating anytime in 2013!!!

Online registration is closed. Each registered graduating student who purchases the AACC 2013 Package will receive the following:
African American Cultural Celebration 2013 Recognition Dinner on Wednesday, May 15, 2013.
This includes the GRADUATING STUDENT plus two (2) guests. There will be a cost for extra guests.

The Grad Fair is your one-stop event to purchase commencement-related items and ask questions. Vendor tables will be set up where students will be able to do everything from ordering caps and gowns to buying announcements and class rings. Graduating students are encouraged to attend!!!
AACC 2013 SOUVENIR BOOK PHOTO SHOOT: Each graduating student will have the opportunity to have his or her photo taken for the AACC 2013 Souvenir Book. Drop in at Center for Black Cultural and Student Affairs (CBCSA), Student Union 415, no appointment necessary.

All students who plan to participate in the 2013 Celebration MUST attend. Graduates, who purchased AACC 2013 Package, will receive their reserved tickets & Kente sash at the mandatory rehearsal.
AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURAL CELEBRATION 2013 RECOGNITION DINNER RECEPTION:
Wednesday, May 15, 2013, 6:30pm – 9:00pm, Ronald Tutor Campus Center Ballroom.
The Recognition Dinner is included for those graduates who purchased the AACC 2013 Package.
Please note: A la carte dinner tickets will be available starting April 1, 2013.

All participants need to arrive by 6:45 pm to prepare for the line up and take pre-celebration photos.
The ceremony will start promptly at 8pm.
