Into the Fire: Works by USC Ceramics Students
Trojan Family Room, Sample Hall
The ceramic works on exhibit illustrate the variety of outstanding artwork created by students enrolled in ceramics courses in the Roski School of Fine Arts, during the Fall 2012 semester. The exhibit includes objects by Fine Arts majors, minors and students wanting a creative experience in clay outside of their major area of study.
The Roski School of Fine Arts offers beginning and advanced classes in ceramics where students learn and use the basic skills of handbuilding, wheel throwing, press molding and slip casting clay. The diversity in color and texture of the pieces speaks to the availability of a number of different clays, glazes and firing techniques offered to the students.
