Co-curricular activities are an important part of the USC experience.  Through involvement outside of the classroom, first-year students are able to strengthen the leadership and communication skills that will help them integrate into the Trojan Family. In addition, through student organizations, first-year students can make friends and find other students with similar academic interests, which will prove invaluable when forming study groups.

Campus Activities Office
The University of Southern California offers diverse opportunities for student involvement and leadership development. Through resources in Hazel & Stanley Hall (HSH) and the Wilson Student Union (STU), the Office of Campus Activities (CA) provides educational programs and support services to student organizations, their leaders, and other members of the campus community. These groups in turn provide programs and services to the student body and the wider university community.

The Campus Activities office oversees the 650+ recognized student organizations on campus, the Peer Leadership Consultants, Undergraduate Student Government, Graduate & Professional Student Senate, and USG Program Board.  In addition, the office is responsible for Homecoming, CONQUEST! (one of the major activities that highlights the USC/UCLA rivalry week), and USC’s annual Welcome Week.

For more information regarding the Campus Activities Office, recognized student organizations, the Involvement Fair, or CONQUEST!, visit the Campus Activities website at http://www.usc.edu/ca.

Greek Life
Greek Life at USC strives to create opportunities for student involvement in order to enhance personal and leadership development through (a) participation in self-governance through Greek chapters, honor societies, and/or one of five Greek governance councils, or (b) student employment experiences. Joining one of the 30+ fraternities or 20+ sororities on campus provides students with leadership development, scholastic achievement, service opportunities, and a social atmosphere to meet other USC students.  Recently, the USC Greek community was nationally recognized for achieving the largest positive gap between the all-Greek GPA and the undergraduate GPA.

The five Greek councils are the Panhellenic Council, the Interfraternity Council, the Multicultural Greek Council, the National Pan-Hellenic Council, and the Asian Greek Council.

For more information regarding any of the councils, the Greek honor societies or individual chapter recruitment, go to the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Leadership Development website at http://www.usc.edu/student-affairs/greeklife.

Involvement Fair
During the first week of Fall & Spring semesters, Campus Activities sponsors an Involvement Fair where all recognized student organizations and departments are invited to showcase their organization, activities, and events, and to recruit new members. Over 200 organizations and departments participate each year. The involvement fair takes place right in the heart of the USC campus, on Trousdale Parkway and Childs Way, right by Tommy Trojan.
For more information regarding the Involvement Fair, visit the Campus Activities website at http://www.usc.edu/ca

Involvement Transcript
As a joint venture between the Office of Campus Activities and the Volunteer Center, the involvement transcript is a great way for you to track your involvement and leadership activities throughout your time at USC. The involvement transcript also provides opportunities for you to discover other areas of interest on campus. The involvement transcript is a tool to help you in articulating the skills and abilities you have developed as a student leader to future employers, graduate schools, and more. For information including how to start your transcript, visit www.usc.edu/ca.

Peer Leadership Consultants
Housed in Hazel & Stanley Hall, the Peer Leadership Consultant Program is designed to enhance student leadership opportunities as well as provide services, programs and resources necessary for the positive growth and development of our students and their organizations. It enables students to become more connected with USC by effectively utilizing institutional resources, offering opportunities for students to connect academic life with out-of-class experiences, and providing experiences that will stimulate students' cognitive, intellectual, personal, and social growth.

The Peer Leadership Consultants Program benefits students, faculty, and staff by serving the university and surrounding community, supporting the efforts of the Leadership Collaborative, adhering to the concepts of USC's Leadership Model and working closely with the Leadership, Service, and Scholars department. In addition, the program's expansive nature lends itself to collaborative efforts with many other services and departments at USC.
To learn more about the Peer Leadership Consultants, visit the Center for Student Involvement in Hazel & Stanley Hall or e-mail them at stuacts@usc.edu.

Program Board
Program Board represents a diverse group of student interests and organizations. The Assemblies and Programming Committees are student-run groups with the goal of promoting diversity and entertainment through progressive and innovative event programming. The programming fee allows Program Board to plan a multitude of social, political, and educational events for the USC community. These events include concerts, speakers, cultural events, and various other activities.

To learn more about Program Board, individual assemblies, or committees, visit the PB website at www.usc.edu/programboard or visit their office in the basement of the Student Union, Room B7.

Student Organizations
Student organizations are an essential part of the University of Southern California.  They provide students a variety of opportunities to explore their academic, professional, political, social, cultural, recreational, spiritual, and community service interests.  Student organizations allow students to develop interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills in a supportive yet challenging way.

Currently, there are over 650 student organizations on campus.  To view a complete list, along with descriptions of the organizations and contact information, visit http://sait.usc.edu/stuorgs

Undergraduate Student Government (USG)
The official Undergraduate Student Government of the University of Southern California serves as a marketplace of sorts for the university. With its many branches and divisions, its members and programs connect students, faculty, staff, and administrators.

Year after year, members of the USG challenge themselves to serve the student body in new and creative ways. Through relevant and necessary advocacy, legislation, and programming, USG hopes to benefit students by providing a richer undergraduate experience and improving different aspects of daily student life.
