Whether students are certain of their career goals after graduation or they are open to exploring different possibilities, USC has different services available. Though most of these services are within the Career Planning and Placement Center, other departments on campus offer opportunities for career exploration. A job on campus, a research assistant position with a faculty member, or an internship outside of USC are all viable ways to get acquainted with different fields.
Career Planning and Placement Center
The Career Planning and Placement Center provides an array of services to help both students and alumni fulfill their professional aspirations. Making an appointment with a center advisor can help students develop their resume and cover letters or sharpen their interviewing skills. They use the career assessment tools to determine possible majors or areas of interest. In addition, the Career Planning and Placement Center offers semester programs such as Career Fairs, Internship Week, Development Workshops, and Professional Panels to help students get insider’s perspective into different fields. Furthermore, with MonsterTRAK, students can look for possible jobs or internships both on and off campus.

Marshall School of Business, Office of Student Services
The Office of Student Services helps undergraduate students integrate real-world experience with classroom learning. Programs and services include internships, summer internships, the Career Advantage mentoring programs, guidance on resume writing and interviewing techniques, and a host of leadership experiences.
Through a partnership with the USC Career Planning and Placement Center (CPPC), this serves as a student's main resource for Marshall and university activities. Visit the Undergraduate Student Services office in Bridge Hall Room 103 to learn more about the Marshall and USC community.
McNair Scholars Program
The McNair Scholars Program is federally funded to assist USC undergraduates in preparing to enroll in graduate studies at the doctoral level. With Fall, Spring, and Summer components, the McNair program guides eligible scholars throughout their college careers. Program participation is open to first generation students, low income students, or undergraduate students from underrepresented ethnic backgrounds.
As part of their participation in the program, students receive a $2800 research stipend, GRE preparation courses and fee waivers, faculty mentorship, special workshops, and other incentives.

Trojan Network
The Trojan Network is a one-of-a-kind resource comprised of USC alumni who have volunteered to provide career-related information to current USC students and other alumni. The Career Planning and Placement Center is pleased to provide this valuable networking resource to currently enrolled students, as well as alumni who are graduates of degree programs offered by USC worldwide.

USC Viterbi School of Engineering, Career Services Office
The USC Viterbi School of Engineering Career Services Office acts as a liaison between employers and technical students, providing events and programs designed to connect outstanding engineers with top employers! Students in the USC Viterbi School of Engineering can get assistance with resume reviews and job- and internship-search strategies.
The office coordinates the on-campus interviewing program for engineers and manages the Cooperative Education Program, the annual Engineering Career Conference, and two Engineering Career Fairs, attended by thousands of students and hundreds of employers.
